Hello Everybody,
I am in 3rd Year Diploma in Industrial Electronics form VESP, Chembur.

Guys please help me to select my final year project.
I want it to look like a Diploma Project.
Please guys suggest some topics.
I prefer 8051 Based GSM project but if you have any other idea then please suggest with a synopsis of the project.

Okay now i have made up my mind,

I want to do a GSM Based Home Security CUM Automation System

I can use Atmel uC's like AT89C2051 or I can use AT89C51.

I am new to uC's & we havent even started learning uC's we will learn in this SEMESTER.

So can any one give me a QUICK START that how shoul i prepare the Synopsis that is to be submitted to the college!

well first make a layout of your project and note down what features you want.

Secondly, look for what kind of hardware you need. Se how many ports you need, space required roughly for your software part. And finally select the controller.

once you are ready with these things you make a final block diagram of your project that will cover the first part of your synopsis. Give description of each block and working. Also provide proposed hardware components in your synopsis.

As you know synopsis is just an into kind of thing for your project so obviously specifications may change anytime during the development of project. So do not worry and go ahead writing synopsis for your project

Sir my father has a factory of his own & we manufacture PCBs & Control Panels & Various Cards for elevators.

He told me to select a project based on industrial application cuz my branch is Industrial Electronics.

So SIR can you suggest me some topics!

Hello Rahul,

Since your father is into Industrial line, he may be meeting many clients from the industry and he'll have better chance knowing the problems/situations faced by the clients.

one more thing pl.don't be offended that i am saying this -

you are a 3rd year diploma student and its you who have to come up with the project idea, use your ingenuity, visit some industry look around the various processes, talk to the staff there ask them if given a chance what/which part of the process they need improvement.

note down the points come back and do some brainstorming and finally come up with a project. this way you'll get practical exposure to the problems and how to find solutions.

after deciding the project use our forum for guidance and help
