please help for 8051
1)Assume that we are getting continiously, the digital data from the output of Analog to Digital
Converter(ADC) .then write a C program to acquire these digital data and get displayed the
same on the windows hyper terminal.
2)Write a C program to generate the square wave of 2KHz square wave on the port pin1.7

Hi Ashwini...
Your first query calls for reading the following tuts.
http://www.8051projects.net/adc-interfacing/
http://www.8051projects.net/serial-communication/

For your second query you need to set up a timer and toggle P1.7 each time the timer overflows.
In your case cycle time of the square wave is 1/2000 = 0.5ms
Thus you need to toggle P1.7 every 0.5/2 = 0.25ms
Set up one of the timers to overflow at 0.25ms....... hope you know how to program the timers.

Let there be music........

Hi there,

this is your assignment and you should atleast make an attempt in writing your own program, you need to do some ground work.

i urge the forum members not to encourage this kind of practice (doing assignments)

hi ashwini,
please don't .
do try the suggestions/hints posted by shashi sir( very generously, i would say: " lucky you!!") and u will find that the assignment is not that difficult. start writing some code and post it here. we will cross check it if u are on the right path.
Only a few instructions would complete ur second assignment.
good luck.

proteus and protel are good hardware simulators. proteus is very simple to understand. but the catch is (as usual), all good things do not come free!! . the silver lining is : check this thread, it may give u some ideas:

also you can use TOPVIEW Simulator from Frontline Electronics, the trial version supports 2 KB of code, here's the link :

http://www.frontline-electronics.com/html/simulator8031.htm

if you are looking for a free simulator, you can try Edsim51,which is made for teachers and students. here's the link :

http://www.edsim51.com/

hope these links are enough to get you started !

P.S: Protel is a circuit layout and PCB designing Software and not a simulator.
