Thank you for posting it here.. this is going to help others too
...
so, regarding the sensors, in the project, LDRs are used. LDR = Light Dependent Resistor
There are two LDRs in the circuit, one is on the exit door and on the entrance door.
So when someone crosses the entrance door, it counts the visitor up and when someone crosses the exit door, it decrement the counter.
Timer is setup to refresh the 7-Segment display.
Hope this information is sufficient for the project. If anymore info is needed feel free to ask

I want to shift the inputs to some other port so I can serial port it....
But the circuit code only increments and doesnt decrement....

i simulated the code on software to make sure its working before i shifted to hardware, and it only increments and doesnt decrement.... sensor circuits work on software... i tried it on hardware and I cant get my sensors to work, but im going to get something of better quality...
the problem seems to be in the rxd port... its not read...

Your post is not clear.
You're saying it works ok in simulation but not in hardware?
Or it doesn't work in either?

You must remember....for incrementing, the sensor at P3.0 must be obsteucted first and then P3.1
For decrementing,P3.1 must be obstructed first and then P3.0

Let there be music........
