hi codee,
well, as u must be already knowing, passive tags derive their circuit power from the RF power sensed by it from the transmitter. So the only option u have is to increase the transmitter power (though i doubt it would sense as long as 3m).
Else the only other alternative is using active RFID tags.

can u post the specifications of the transmitter as well as the passive tag u plan to use? only then we can try to determine the maximum length the passive tag can be detected.

I have bought a Reader card of GIGATEK model no. MF10.
and I am using the passive tags of HF 13.56 Mhz with ISO standard 14443.

The total system distance is 6cm. and working well.

If it is not possible then plz help me developing my own reader card with same tags with about 1 meter range. Kindly provide me some material about reception of tag signals. Like I have seen in one project at internet "Proximity Security System".

hi codee,
could not find the specs of both the models u mentioned..... it would be better if u attach the specs, because while searching for the above models i came across an article which mentioned a passive tag having a range of about 20ft.so i think there could be some hope.
