F4 will only come if digits in mobile number are odd.

+91 9989263126

encoded: 19 99 98 62 13 62

Well i think we all are getting confused here.. try this..
download sms sending software from http://bonrix.net/

connect your nokia mobile with PC and run the software. Put serial monitor on com port (Just search and download) and monitor all the packets from PC to phone and Phone to PC.

To understand FBUS, thats the best method. Hope this will help.. Do post back again if you get anything. also you can attach the serial dump file here if you find things difficult.

@pdi33
Thanks for the comment.

I am no expert on SMS messaging, I'm really just
comparing Giri's code to what is on
http://www.embedtronics.com/nokia/fbus.html

If anyone wants to comment
please feel free

My encoding of
19 89 58 00 45 f4
is for the number Giri gave in the earlier post.
>Here the Msg Centre No: 988500544
If it is actually 9885005444

then his encoding is the one to use.(With the international prefix of 91)

@Giri
Your encoding of the mobile number is OK by me

> the seq no is like 81,82.83..
>but i heard that the seq. no varies as 40 to 47 ??????

I read somewhere that only the last three bits are used
for the sequence. IE 0-7
Why 80 and not 40 may be worth checking.

>"menu->messages->settings->message centre1->msg centre no"
>is this is correct????? if not where can i find it exactely.

As far as I know that's correct.

In an earlier post I said

"I have tried a couple of converters and they agree that the message should be
C7 B4 3C 0D... you seem to have an 0x01 at the end where I'd expect a 0"

Did you look into that ?

Finally

>After sending, the ack frame I have received is like this:
>1e,0c,00,7f,00,02,02,01,1c,70

Does this need to be acknowledged by the 8052 ?

yes I modified that as per urs.

After sending, the ack frame I have received is like this:
>1e,0c,00,7f,00,02,02,01,1c,70

Does this need to be acknowledged by the 8052 ?

No, This is the ack from mobile to 8052.
and if mobile transmits the msg, then it gives the another ack msg as "message Sent". So, after receiving message sent frame from the mobile to the 8052, now 8052 needs to acknowledge.

Thanks

I agree that
http://www.embedtronics.com/nokia/fbus.html#part3 indicates that no acknowledge is needed,
but at this stage I'd give it a try just in case the phone is waiting for it.

We seem to have done everything else perfectly

I can't see why, we have already established that you can send texts from this
phone to other........ haven't we ?

On the subject of sequence codes, how do you generate your codes ?
What code do you send in the "send SMS" frame ?

Another "worth a try "idea
Reset the phone and send the SMS message immediately.

there are many but most of them comes with USB interface, which is the sad part. Where as you can easily find sony erricsson phone with serial interface like t290, t610 etc..
