hai i want dc 12 volts from ac 230 using diode .without using transformer.
i saw in some calling bell .they use one diode and one resister to operate the circuit

hi ayapakkam,
all u need is a step-down transformer, a diode bridge rectifier, some filter capacitors and a 7812 regulator to generate the +12V output. Just refer to some good book in basic electronics to find the circuit.;)
