check your hardware with hyper terminal... are you getting welcome message?
if not then check your serial connection..

Hi Ajay sir
Thank you for ur kind reply
I checked my hardware with hyperterminal with automation program.I also checked my serial connection, its good.when I dump another program (gsm commands)to my microcontroller and check the output on telnet, it gives the exact output. In telnet sometimes it gives scrap(ascii char's only)and some times it shows nothing. And i am not able to find any thing in lcd.it gives bright light(15 and 16 pins are connected for Vcc and Gnd),how i can i reduce the contrast of lcd.And how to get exact output in telnet.Waiting for ur reply sir.

If your LCD is not working then check the connection of LCD first. write a simple program to o/p string on LCD. You can make use of program provided in LCD tutorial Section.

To vary LCD contrast, use the Potentiometer connected to Pin3 of LCD. I am sure its not the contrast problem. Please do check your LCD, because if LCD is not initialized, nothing will work.

no there is no modification. I am clearly not sure what the problem is. Can you do this..
try testing your LCD only. send something to LCD and see if its working. then check your input switches one by one. Did you check LCD contrast? make sure its not too low.
