i 've been wondering how do the electronic weighing machines work...... like how do they measure the weight of an object..... may be its a mechanical process bt how do they display that weight on an LCD or 7 segments.... anyone has any idea???

electronic weighing machines derive their output from a load cell ( something similar to a strain gauge). The principle is similar to a pressure sensor where the resistance varies with the load applied and it is converted to a suitable electrical signal usually using a balanced bridge network.

Hi
The Mostly Weighing Scale machines used ADC (Delta Sigma ADC).
Delta Sigma ADC is very high in accuracy and precise.
LOAD CELL>>ADC (Detla)>> MICROCONTROLLER>> LCD OR SEVEN SEGMENT
LOAD CELL is a Transducers which converter Weight in to analog voltage.
Analog Voltage In converted to Digital with help of ADC and Microcontroller
programming.
The Converted Voltage is Shown in LCD or any Display in terms for Weigh
HOPE YOU HAVE GOT SOME IDEA!!
