hey ppl!!!!!!!
i'm doin a project where i need to convert a 12 bit parallel data top serial form.......using a atmega8535.........
my problem is how to do this using the micro

i'm not very well acquinted wid the rules of parallel transmission n stuff.......

cn ne1 please help wid some kinda code or something.........

i'm really stuck wid this and cant proceed further untill this part is done.....

so please guys help me out here.....
any kinda help would be much appretiated!!!!!!!!!

i'm basically using a 12bit A to D converter(ad574) and these 12 bits from ad574 are fed to micro as input and now these have to be converted to serial form.....

wats my basic problem is that once i start feeding data to my next stage device how to tell it that a particular set of 12 bits is over and i'm beginning to send the next set......

and also how to convert this parallel data to serial form.....

someone suggested dat 8535 has a serial port which can directly be used......it there such an option in the micro???????

can you post your circuit diagram?

are you only using ADC or something else too along with?

http://www.8051projects.info/expC6.asp is made for 8051, not 89C2051. After changing the port assignments, nothing appears on the LCD.
