or will i need some sort of image processing
is there any library from microsoft for image processing or comparing two pics just like a voice recognization library by using that in vb6 i do this

You should probably ask that question on a site for VBasic programming.
This site is for microcontroller hardware and software.

Hi Majoka!
I am confused that wat u wanna do! in one line you are aiming to compare two images but in second line u r thinking to make these Equal! if u make these equal then wat u r going to compare??????
nd i dont think Microsoft has any image processing library!

Here is a link which can help u learn image processing using VB

thanx u cool mirza that is a gud site actually for a while i leave that work so dnt post furture posts
at that time i was doing a task that a picture is captured by a camera using vb then in pc compare this captured pic with a sample pic that was already exist in pc
nw if each time if a camera capture a pic that not exactly equal to a sample one
so compare two pics one is capture by camera and other is a predefine sample in pc
that was the problem

majoka, you have to do something which is called "feature extraction" comes under "image processing" so only features of a pic are compared you cannot compare binary data of a pic to say its same. sometimes pics are same but coz of surrounding effects like light etc can make pic looks different.

I cannot give you detailed information on image processing as i am not much known to it, you can however search internet. There is plenty of information available.
