i worked on 8051 and on pic
8051 is basic and need of every one what u say

My suggestion would be going for PIC18F series would be better as there are no much information regarding them. It should be different from others like it should containg information regarding interfacing of
USB, ethernet, LCD'S, Touch screens, Color LCD's, GSM, GPS, Memory Cards, etc etc including basics.
