PCB LAYOUT SHOULD BE GIVEN OR NOT??????

Yes

No

Circuits are self explanatory so no PCB is required.

The circuit is not self explanatory, more information should be attached.
PCB diagram is not given, atleast give me the PCB layout.
The ratings of relay is not given.
The RELAY & HEATER configuration should be given in a better manner,so that we can understand it.
if we attach 8 sensors then the circuitry would certainly fail....
plz help me out ,about (RELAY RATING & PCB LAYOUT)

See the choice of heater and the corresponding relay really depend on the user and his intended application. For eg. the heater could be a soldering iron with one of the sensors monitoring it's temperature and the relay switching off when the temp crosses the setpoint. In this case a relay with .5 or 1amp contact rating would do.
Similarly you could connect a room heater and a 12v relay with appropriate contact rating.
if we attach 8 sensors then the circuitry would certainly fail....

Can you explain. Is it because there are 8 sensors and only 4 relays?Only 4 sensors have associated control functions,I think.
It's setting the pot for Vref which is more of a problem since we don't know what Vref was chosen by the author,1.25 or 2.56 volts?

well regarding PCB, I think there is no need of providing PCB design. Most of the projects are to be made on a zero board or depending on user requirement.

I am not disagreeing with the fact that PCB layouts are needed. The only thing is time.. we do not have enough time to make PCBs

you can use any switching device according to your requirement..
and how the circuitry fail with 8 sensors??? can you explain it??????

the purpose of sharing the project was not to provide you spoon feeding...but to give you some idea, some help..so that you can take it as reference and make something better by your own instead of just copying everything and crying for PCB layout and relay rating..

believe me, i have seen and understood the VB code as well as the 8051 code and abbas has inspired me to learn more of VB. So hats off to u abbas . The more i understand the vb part the more i appreciate his coding skills. i am trying to use it and develop a new related interface. But it may take a bit of time as i have basic knowledge of VC++ but zero knowledge of vb. Sothanks for inspiring me and providing me the skeleton application abbas, hats off to u

What i believe is.. VB is not hard.. if you get stuck somewhere.. just use google search.. you get a lot of stuff there.. and you will reach your goal..

I never thought i will make that PC remote project so good looking and with such features like com port selection and all still i made it.. you just start doing it.. you will surely reach your destination

I would like to do some changes in the circuit according to my application as under:

in the 8051 part:
1)Increase reesolution of adc to 14 bit (using 7135)
2) change sensor input to pt-100 or thermocouple.

in the PC end:
1) fetch records stored in database from the frontend according to user criteria and create a report for printing.

I have knowhow of the 8051 part but is my required changes at the PC end, the VB end possible?
Please confirm (especially the printing part) .Will it be more complicated for a VB novice like me? thanks once again

I think you must start a new thread about additions in DAQ Project
coz this thread is no where related to your suggestions..
