Hi to all

actually i m programming SD card in phillips p89c669 controller but i m unable to initialize the card. I m programming it in SPI mode , please suggest me a suitable way.

did you see the sample codes from AVR freaks? they have very good code with the documentation how and what they did.
i found this technical note from Philips NXP website.
hope this will be helpful.. its a pdf..

hi i am also interfacing the sd card to atmega 16 microcontroller ,so i want to write the data & read the data from it , can anybuddy tell me about that?

you can use the AVRlib it got APIs to write and read in SD/MMC also IDE. you can download AVRlib from here...
