hi!!!!!!!!
I m using nokia 5300 to connect it using hyperterminal.
it responds OK when i am writing AT and press enter....when i set it into text mode even then it responds well but when i have tried to send a message from pc to mobile it gives an error message after pressing the enter key..........PLZ help me out b'coz i m in great trouble and shortage of time.........PLZ HELP ME!!!!!!

can you paste dump of what you did on hyperterminal?

ERROR (after this line it responds error)

may be your sim memory is full try deleting it first....

u can directly try
AT+CMGS = "+919999999999"

Hi !!!!!!

Now i am facing a problem to call another mobile using hyperterminal with command syntax as follows :
AT
OK

ATD "+919999999999"
NO CARRIER (After trying to make a call)

but at the same time i can now send the message......so why it is showing NO CARRIER in using ATD command...

actualy i am working on a project in which i have to send the location of the tower through which the mobile is communicating at that time through an SMS.........so, how can i do it?????

hi,
Please use the following commands to get cell ID first on hyper terminal . then try on Micro controller.
AT+CMGF=1
AT+CNMI=2,1,2,0,0
AT+CSCB=0,"50","1"
it will keep on giving you cell site name after every 1 minutes.
Please try this and let us know the result.

hi everyone !!!!
i have tried these commands.......but it gives error when i used it on NOKIA 6300 mobile..

AT+CNMI=2,1,2,0,0
ERROR

AT+CSCB=0,"50","1"
ERROR

so plz help me out i have a great need of it.......to know the name of the tower through which the mobile is communicating at any particular time
