Hello Sir,

I read ur article about a programmable number lock system from the below site
http://www.electrofriends.com/projects/number_lock/page2.html

My classmates decided to take it as our project. We read thr article and found the following queries.

1. HOW CAN I UNLOCK AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE ?. I WANT TO LOCK A COMPUTER
HOW CAN I CONNECT IT.
2. CAN I USE THE SAME CIRCUIT TO LOCK/UNLOCK A DOOR OR WINDOW?. IF YES PLS LET ME KNOW HOW TO.
3. ISTHE 8051 NEEDED TO BE CONNECTED DURING OPERATION?

I WILL BE GLAD IF U REPLY TO OUR QUESTIONS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

THANKS RISHI NAIR.

First of all dont ever post links in chatbox.

you need to cover the device to lock it.
e.g . to lock a phone you cover the keypad and stuff..

to lock a computer you can put password on bios or something like that.

yes circuit can be used for door or a window or a safe etc.

you can make project as per your needs, but you need a logic. to make things work.
using a controller makes your work really simple, you program it and put your logic inside and controller work as per your logic and very less hardware required for that.

There is one more project "electronic lock using keypad and lcd" made using 8051 in the download section. you can use it if you want.
