hi, to see the character you're typing on the terminal display you have to enable echo setting on. Its in file - properties - settings - ASCII setup and select Echo typed char.. and send line feed. hope this helps

try this, open a new terminal make sure you're using the right comport. set the comport to 9600 8-N-1 and set the flowcontrols to hardware. do not set Echo or any other things, type AT and press enter. if you dont get respone back check the cable and the port

first, turn of echo, use a simple serial cable. one end connected to PC com port and other end short pin 2&3 type something on terminal you must see what u are typing. if yes then ur port is fine.

try to use flowcontrol to both none and hardware see when u are getting response from phone.

AT commands work on devices that have a built-in GSM modem. If there is one, you do not need to install virtual modem software on your PC. If you are using very old Nokia devices, you have to find out the DATA suite, not the PC Suite, for these devices (such as the Nokia 5110) to be able to use AT commands.
Make sure that you have installed the correct GSM modem driver on your PC. You can check it from Control Panel | System | Hardware | Device Manager. Check the Modems section. If you see something like "Nokia XY USB Modem" or "Nokia XY Bluetooth Modem", the device has a built-in GSM modem. If you don't have it, go to the Nokia Web site and download the driver from the product page of your device.
