I use Flash Magic for programming my 89V51RD2 and have had no problems with it prior to today. Since this morning (12Hrs ago) Iv been trying to burn a hex file to MCU with no look, I keep getting the error "Unable to connect at specified baud rate..." Iv tried different baud rates but it hasn't made any difference.

The only other thing I can think to do is to try another programmer application, but I cant seem to find any alternative.

Any alternative will need to be compatible with Windows 7 x64

Thanks,
V

what did you do with your controller last 12 hrs ago?

try a full erase and then reprogram.

The controller seems to be fine its running the last program I put on it fine...

If I erase all flash will this not wipe the bootloader? I dont have a parallel programmer so then I wouldn't be able to program it at all?

doing full erase from ISP will not remove bootloader from it.

make sure ISP conditions are met (ALE and PSEN signals) before you start programming from Flash Magic. otherwise you wont be able to program.

Tryed a full erase, but it could not... I just got the same error window.. "cannot connect...." ISP conndtions are fine.. Flash magic never even gets to the stage of asking for reset.
