hello majoka sir,
i m confused with first one & PIC-and-EEPROM-Programmer pcb layout . i hv made pcb of (which was in pcb folder ).i made 2 times bcs first time yr pcb layout was not fit for 40 pin controller. at last....
(1)what is d purpose of second one.
(2) is the programmer got supply from pc? there is no external supply.
(3)what is d meaning of JDM & RCD programmer.
plz remove my confusion . i m little bit far to complete.

i make it and i am using that

i use female header that normally used with lcd
or u can use bases of round holes that r in goodquality
purpose was because every pic ic has its own pin configuration
so 40 pin has outer boundary header and small ic uses inner boundaries header
connections r also different for different rows

yes it sucks power from serial port of pc may not work with lap top that has less power port and usb to serial converter can not be used here

sir i hv made programmer and when i m burning through ic prog ther is no indication on programmer ckt (led is not glowing).
plz help sir,

one thing more , d icprog messaging every thing (erase device, sucessfully varified,etc) without connecting programmer board. i think prog not getting acknoledge from progm board. sir plz see my pcb layout.

even if not connected it should show verified successfully
ru set the com port no in setting
many software can be used with this check with other
picpgm programmer software
winpic prog
winpic etc
this hardware supported by these software and check hardware once more

i hv used winpic800 it still not getting acoknowledge . a made hardware.
sir i have no camera otherwise i can send image of hardware. sir i hv checked hardware connection ,there is no error.
sir can u tell me process- from conecting it pc port to running program with either prog r win800.

Majoka has posted 2-3 circuits of programmer. which one you've built? and what programmer software are you using for them?

also the olimex programmer circuit is simplest


you can make a six pin header and connect device to it. check olimex website for frontend software too.

(1) i hv 2 type of crystal 12MHz & 24MHz. i m using Pic 16f877a. which one is suitable .
(2). what will be capacitor combination with that.

normal pic has maximum 20 MHz operating range so use 12 MHz
use 22pf cap

u can use winpicpgm software also it is best where if fails there i use winpic800
it never fail to program
that ics listed in software that r supported by hardware
some ics are special that's pin are not compatible with hardware
so use an extra board to program that

hello sir,
i want to make a devlopment board for pic 16f8xx for learning purpose. so that's why i wnt to program my pic on dev board(In ckt). so i want to made ICSP ckt. i hv build a icsp ckt given in below link:

i hv directaly use ICSP six pin .see attachment of my pcb ckt.
the problem is that
**when i m using winpic800 the led on programmer board blinking with each operation like "erase device","read", but when programm warning---programming failed,and device detected unknown.
**when i m using PICPgm there is also led blinkikg wd each operation but warning "NO PIC Connected"
when i m using IC_PROG there is no hdware detecte(there is no led blinking) of prog board
what is proble plz help , is there is problem in my prog ckt or ,which programmer work fine wd it.i hv conecte ICSP 6 pin like
6-pgm -36 of pic
5-clok -39
4-data -40
3-gnd -12 &31
2-vdd -11 &32
1-mclr/vpp -1, is there is need of supporting ckt in pic controller side.
i hv made a JMD programmer of majoka sir ( of which this icsp ckt is part ) working fine wd WINPIC800.i m busy wd this progmer ckt for 2-3 days.
i hv complited all port of my development board,i hv to add only ICSP in my board .

do one thing
download pic 16f877 data sheet
and see its pin no on which data and clock has to go
match that with ur circuit u make
may be there is a swap between clock and data
i use PICPgm

i very interested with this project.this programmer can use for pic 16f?and other?and when i open mplab what should programmer should i use?like pickit2

yes it is for pic 16 f and 18f
Pic Pgm,winpic800,win pic, IC_Prog can be used with this hardware
using with mplab u need pickit2 programmer it also support some other MPLAB ICD2 etc

use winPICPGM for programing.......!!!!!!!!
