im new to this world...
i firstly have a circuit to measure a particular resistance, i need to know wat the best/ easiest way is, to display this onto 4 digit lcds...

4-digit LCD?

well if you are talking about 4-digit LCD segment display then they work same as your 7-segment LED display. If you know how to write on 7-seg LED then you can easily work with LCD.

Do post datasheet of LCD display.

hi AK,
if u want to keep it very simple then use the 31/2 digit ADC cum LCD driver IC 7106/7126. i.e. if the display counts are less than 2000 counts. I fu want a higher resolution, then u can go for ICL 7129 which is a 4 1/2 digit (+/-20,000 counts) LCD driver. check the datasheets for the respecive ICs for their configuraton. U won't need a uC for that.
 AK like this.

hey
i found out, i actually need to convert the resistance found, to a corresponding length, and then display that... so now wat do i do?

well, there's a resistance meter, with an output voltage. this voltage needs to be converted/scaled to a particular value of length....and that value of length needs to be displayed...
