if I am not wrong , ur application seems to relate to measuring the energy consumption of the distribution line from the secondary of the transformer. So u can use the energy meter IC CS5460A . check its datasheet for connection to the 230V mains line to measure the current consumption and voltage monitoring. The rest of the project is already known to u .
Do share ur results.

hi sanath,
for ur application, monitoring the voltage would not be a problem as the lines coming out of the distribution txformer would be in parallel and u can sense voltage from any one line. But as far as the current is concerned, if u want to monitor the total current consumption, u must connect it in series with the main line before the distributing junction.
note that u may have to use a current transformer as the currents may exceed hundreds of amperes and a contactless type of current measurement would be unavoidable .C.T.s are practically available to measure a.c. currents even upto thousands of amperes.
Alternatively, if u want to monitor the current of each individual branch, then u have to invariably use that many current sensing inputs though the voltage sensing can be for a single line.
