good idea, I really need active participation on this, otherwise its of no use..

Even I forgot lot of things like writing Device drivers in Linux ,Building the Tool chain for customizing the OS , Porting Applications oooooops the Vast domain coz lack of practice.

i have also some little exposure of linux i.e kernel space , device drivers , socket programming. And i hope to participate actively.... In this way we all can learn linux on
Rickey's platform. :-)

here is something we should concentrate :
providing our users in building tool chains like : SDCC and GNUARM

I remember UBUNTU hardy has full support for AVRs

then we need other tools like a hyperterminal clone like miniterm plus code downloader softwares for 51 AVR and ARM..

there is a lot to do in linux-embedded . where do we start?

well ok I will add Linux section,

One more thing.. I think there is no need of software section (coz of inactivity). can i move the threads to general forum and then close those forums. what do you say?
