Hello, we got a project really need somebody help, we have to design a temperature detector that the range must be 0-50ï½C with two 7-segment LED display, the main components to be used for this project are temperture sensors,OP-AMP,A/D converter, decoder. Now we are so confuse, can anyone give me some suggestion what kind of component should I use, also I want a schematic if it's possible. Thank you.

You can use a LM35 for the job.
If you intend to use a 8051 micro for interfacing to the adc and 7-seg displays look here :

Also download the LM35 datasheet and give it a read.

sir this is also my problem because i have a project about temp sensor and i just plan to use LED which function is if the temp is hot it will on and if the temp is cold or not so hot nothing happen to LED it will remain off..but this post give me an idea to use 7segment, my question is if i will use thermostat then what other possible materials will use to decode the temp into digital form...thanks..

you can use a software based thermostat, i.e. after you get digital value of temperature from ADC you can have a range of which you can compare if it is lesser or greater than specific value.
if(tempmax)
LED ON
else
LED OFF
so if your temp is between not so hot not so cold area then LED will be off else LED will be on. that becomes your software thermostat.
you dont need anything else other than an ADC and temperature sensor.
