connecting nokia 6100 with hyperterminal "plz help stuck here" ajay i m stuck

hi i m trying to send at commands to my cell phone i.e nokia 6100
using hyperterminal , i have connected my cell phone using serial cable
i m using 3 pins of my phone i.e rx tx and ground
bt the problem is this whnever i connect my phone to hypertermial
it doesnt recieve any at commands and my cell phone screen goes white...
plz help i m stuck (
i have tried at commands with my t610 using bluetooth virtual serial port it wokrd fine
bt not working for nokia 6100 as i have to connect my noia 6100 with microcontroller afterwards ...plz help ...
i am using the pinout of nokia as shown in figure attatched i.e pin 6,7,8

and one more thing do i hve to connect
rs232 rx>>>>tx of nokia 6100

right??
i guess i have to connect the max232 in between then is it the problem??

Yes try that first.

You need to use a voltage level converter such as a max232.
Direct connection the the PC serial port may have damaged the phone.
Another problem is that the connector is labled "FBUS"
"FBUS" uses a different set of commands to AT commands.
It probably will not work with AT commands.
Check the posts in the "Embedded gsm" and "GSM and CDMA" forums

Hi
ExperimenterUK is right as your mobile is based on F-BUS protocol ..it not supports AT commands.
So try this link....This is basically for 3310 F-BUS. May be you get little Idea.
