I have undertaken an robotic project which accepts signals from various transmitters and obeys it in terms orf movement. i actually needed an circuit which has several transmitters but only one receiver and the receiver detects or identifies that transmitter with unique ID.
Also an proximity detector circuit to detect any object in any direction within the range of 1ft.

make use of wireless transmitter and receiver modules.. thats the simplest method...
Actually i am not able to understand your idea.. are you talking about remote controlled robot? and many remotes can control single robot... Please explain in detail..
