Hello all,

I'm trying to connect to a GSM GM9 modem using my pc.

as far as the connection itself, I used Terminal bar@y++) software to check and was able to connect through the serial port. but, when I try using Java (rxtx) or python (pySerial) I'm unable to get it to communicate...
does anyone have any code snippets to help me with this?

any help will be most welcomed.

DO you know by any chance, any idea how to program the modem.

meaning I was able to connect with GPRS using the modem to the office, but,
as I understand, there is a way to program the modem to do this automatically.

do you have any ideas?

well,
I'm able to do the connection using the Modem, but, in the t-mobile they (as requested) connect me directly via a 'green line' to the customer network (a VPN connection),

now I need to establish a TCP connection to a specific machine:port on the network... I cannot find a command that connects the modem to a specific machine and 'turn' the serial port (modem) to a TCP/IP pipe...

do you have any idea?

Thanks

well modem must have a TCP/IP stack inside to do that. you need to contract the vendor of modem to find out if this one has got stack or not.
