LabVIEW - is a highly graphical programming environment in which to create flexible and

scalable applications measurement, control and testing with minimum time spent. LabVIEW is

used in data collection and processing, as well as for managing technical objects and

technological processes.

Graphical programming language «G», used in LabVIEW, based on the architecture of data flows. Sequence of operators in such languages is not determined by the order of their distance (as in imperative programming languages), and the availability of data at the inputs of these operators. Operators are not related to data, carried out in parallel in any order.

Ideologically LabVIEW is very close to the SCADA-systems, but unlike them focus more on problem solving rather than in the CAM, as in the field ASNP.

LabVIEW 2010 has an improved internal compiler that generates optimized native code to reduce the execution time of your application by 20%. Also in 2010 LabVIEW built tools to simplify software installation, configuration of equipment using web-browser, search for information within the development environment and a number of changes that will make programming even easier. In the new version of LabVIEW, you can also take advantage of timing of its Real-Time applications, according to the standard IEEE 1588.

New in LabVIEW 2010

- Optimized compiler
Your graphics code will run faster by optimizing compiler in LabVIEW 2010.

- User changes
Thanks to feedback from users of the community LabVIEW Idea Exchange in LabVIEW 2010 were added changes to make the programming much easier and more convenient.

- Streaming Network
Use the new features in Network Streams for streaming data between distributed network controllers, and host-machines.

- Save the compiled code separately from the initial VI
Thanks to configure the properties of VI developers of big projects will be able to save the compiled code separately from source code, they are working on at any given time.

- SubVI Inlining
With the new property VI, you can reduce the time of your applications, eliminating delays associated with calling SubVI.

- Export data to Excel directly from the charts
In 2010 LabVIEW, you can save the chart data is derived in the Excel files with just a few mouse clicks.

- Configure equipment through the web-browser
You can view the properties and configure the equipment connected to your PC using the NI Network Browser and ordinary web-browser.

- Importing external IP for FPGA
With host IP Integration Node, you can integrate third-party functions for FPGA, VHDL code or files. Xco, created in Xilinx Core Generator, in their projects LabVIEW FPGA.

- Find and install drivers for devices
With the new version of NI Instrument Driver Finder you can quickly find and download the drivers for the devices connected to your system and download ready-made examples and projects for the devices.

- Packing library projects
With the new file type. Lvlibp you can save the entire library of project files, and files relating thereto and VI, in a single file.

Advantages:

- A complete programming language.
- Intuitive graphical programming process.
- Extensive collection, processing and analysis, control devices, generate reports and exchange data via network interfaces.
- Driver support over 2000 devices.
- Features interactive generation of code.
- High speed performance binary executables.
- Compatibility with operating systems Windows 2000/NT/XP/7, Mac OS X, Linux and Sun Solaris.
