avr isp programmer

i am using robokits avr high speed usb programmer.but its shows me error like



Robokits USB Programmer Connected, Error communicating with AVR device!!!
Initialize communication with AVR chip failed, rc=4007461
Check that you have connected microcontroller properly with programmer
Also check that microcontroller is getting proper power either through USB or other source
Make sure microcontroller is getting proper clock source as programmed fusebits
avrdude.exe done. Thank you.

are you powering your controller via programmer? I am not sure how robokits USB programmer is designed but it should work if they are selling it. You better drop them an email with the error.
