why not using TRIAC? SCR can only work for one cycle of AC. We have a triac based control circuit with trimmer. Check it out:

hi ajay..
we are only required to use SCR as main components, we should use potentiometer for the adjustments for the dimmer and as an output we just going to use a bulb and 220v ac source.. just a simple circuit will do. i have also searched in google but there are no specific code for each components..

usage of SCR and TRIAC is almost similar, You can take reference from download I posted earlier. Did you take a look at it?
