Hi,
I am using the "virual serial port emulator" for serial ports. I am using COM1.
I am able to connect via the uploader software and the HyperTerminal but not able to receive messages from the same. The Rx in the COMPIM in proteus blinks but nothing happens in the Virtual Terminal.
(I have used the baud rate and other specifications as mentioned earlier).
Please help me on this. Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Gulshan

I'm not sure what you are trying to connect here.
As I understand it, COMPIM will only connect to hardware plugged into a com port
such as com1, it can't connect to Hyperterminal.
Use the "Terminal" built into Proteus to talk to the scrolling display in Proteus.
Use Hyperterminal or the terminal program provided with the project,
to work with the real display if you actually build it.
Note.. messages start with a space and end # ;
that is a hash and semi colon together.
Change R1, the 10k resistor in the reset circuit to a digital type
in the properties box.

Can you post your proteus schematic or export it to pdf and attach here. It will become easy to understand what could be wrong with circuit.
