programming 8952 microcontroller

actually i am stuck in programming 89s52 microcontroller I have a 10 led of 3 mm and i have a sensor ,now what i want is i want to light up led in fade in and out way,like when a sensor gets high the led's should fade in ,in one by one way .Can anyone help me me out how can i do this ,I am newbie in C language ,i am using keil uvision to program .

Is it on/off or does it give a variable level ?

Start by dimming one led.
Do that by switching it on and off very fast.
The technique is called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM).
Do you know anything about using interrupts on the 8952 ?
