Hello,
I am a newbie with ATMEL MCU..
i bought a KiT for a 6 digits 7seg clock, based on a AT89C2051 ..:
reference: HORLOGE 5 V-12 V AT89C2051 6xLED SH-E 878 LP063367754GB

when i read the signature of the device i get that:

SIGNATURE BYTES:
1E - ATMEL DEVICE
21 - 89C2051
FF

and when i read the device
i get

DATA:
0000 FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE
0010 FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE
0020 FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE
0030 FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE
0040 FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE
0050 FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE FE
..etc
07A0 FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC
07B0 FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC
07C0 FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC
07D0 FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC
07E0 FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC
07F0 FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC FC

my question :
Signature is located in adresse 00 and 01
i tought , if i can read a signature , does it means the MCU is BLANK ?
and when reading the code , i get FC or FE , not FF as on a blank device
it is normal ?

i tought i could read the clock program of this KIT !
but NO !
is it because some Lock bit are on inside the program ?
or this MCU device is BLANK or DEFECT .

Can someone provied to me the code ( *.hex) for that clock ?

The chip is probably locked.
Why not build the kit and see if it works ?

i have seen your replica of I2C programming using AT89C51 but i am unable to understand the "ack_bit" variable usage ...looks like it is always 1...can you elaborate how acknowledgment is working....

Pins high is the normal state. You need a program to set them low
