ok.. so how you define whether you are using LCD in 8-bit or 4-bit mode? there must be something where you tell your compiler which library to use for your LCD depending on mode of usage.. I think you need to find out how to do that.. or try if you can take a look at content of lcd.c it must be located somewhere in the include directory.

lcd.c uses 4 bit mode. but i think my lcd not working. because i download a hex file but didnt work.
i 'll connect pic and pc.i havent done this yet

well as i looked from the pic you send of LCD it seems LCD is burnt.. still cant be sure of that but chances are there.. reason could be any..
even a simple electrostatic discharge from human body can damage it
