Hi all,
I want to send and receive data to PIC18f4550 through USB. I have been browsing around but I cant really get my head in.

Firstly, I would like to know in the simplest way how USB work. I went through usb.org and it looks bit more complicated than i thought.

Secondly, does the PIC needs a USB driver?

Thirdly, how do i control the pic from the pc? is it by using winusb? and i would like to create my own user interface.

and last..how to send and receive data from the pic through usb? do i need to modify the usb driver or ...??

I am completely lost! Could you guys please gimme some ideas or brief explanation(simple as possible please) just to get my way through this project.

Thanks a lot!!
