you can't say anything unless you have tested it. LDR+ADC can be a great combination.

ya u r rite! I decided to work with LDRs here is an Attachment see this.....wat u think about his work???

i also think so that, this can be achived by using LDRs but i am worried about the performance
is it possible to use the sun possition provided by Nasa????
By using this we have to program the controller to rotate the motor after some time intervals! to get the sun possition..... is it possible???

Man has been tracking the position of the Sun for thousands of years before NASA, but I suppose
they are as good a source as any.

Not only possible but I'd say the best way, but you would need to use a stepper motor.

Hi Phil

is it stepper or Servo???
nd me agree wid u abt tracking of sun by Human! Man is much talented as compared to NASA
see this schematic i am hopping to make it working there is a Motor mentioned in schematic type of Motor is not specified!! is it Stepper or Servo or jst simple D.C Motor???

Here it is a simple DC motor, it would be a stepper for the "NASA" tracker,
or as I prefer a Greenwich tracker

@coolmirza
I think moving your pannel according to sun is useless when there will be shadow or clouds in the sky.
You should check at least once about MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking). All basic info about MPPT is available on wikipedia.org

Basically you get the information from an astronomical source about where in the sky
the Sun will be on that day.
Your micro has a real time clock, so you can work out the Suns position at all times.
Build a geared system driven by a stepper motor to point the panel at where you know the
Sun will be.
