Android App for sending data to HC-06 module.

Hi..
Sir i am trying to interface hc-06 module to a pic microcontroller. how can i send a character to hc 06 by using my android phone if there is any app for this purpose please suggest which one.
One more thing as hc-06 output/Input(Tx Rx) are TTL level should i need max232 at both the side i.e at microcontroller side and HC-06 side.
