There are many websites which explain the working of RC5 remote also give codes but many people found them not working or there is always a lack of information provided. There are few people who are also charging money for making simple things which even a noob can do...

Now you need not to pay anyone for making your own IR based application. Use you TV remote to control your switching appliances like TV, fan, bulb etc..
