pullups are on place?
well these all problems are solved now. it was long back when chinmay faced these problems. so you need to check your circuit carefully. must be some wiring issues.

the image in zip is quite confusing it has got 4 terminals but the actual sensor has 3 terminals and the element in the shunt is not recognizable
also is this the hih4000-001 or other i uses hih 4000-001 sensor

Gaurav i already replied you.
open datasheet of HIH sensor, and there are only 3 pins -ve, o/p and +ve all goes to right place. there is a cap and resistance between -ve and o/p and +ve goes to VCC.
dont confuse youself with the above circuit too much. If you can update the circuit later on please do it, I would update the project considering your contribution to it.

only changes in varible resistor(between vcc,gnd & 3 pin of lcd contrast chnge)...as like 0 ohm...otherwise you coonect lcd wrong way..
