all controllers are same in the sense that.. they have specific work to do... and they have peripherals to control..

Only difference is they have diff architectures and diff speeds..

and you choose the one which seems familiar to you.. not that if someone say its better then u go for it without thinking.. When people recommend someone regarding a controller or something they call it best because they are familiar with it..
Like i am familiar with AVR and 8051 so i say you go for AVR.. but it would be bad if you choose AVR when you don't know anything about it.. so choose the one you have already worked with and you are already familiar with coz you will do efficient work on that architecture than any other controller
