hi to every one
i want to compare 2 snapshots in vb6 i need a code in vb6 can anyone help me
now there is a some problem also that two pictures may not be exactly same but i hav to consider in vb that it is equal how i can tell the vb that it is equal or not
or will i need some sort of image processing
is there any library from microsoft for image processing or comparing two pics just like a voice recognization library by using that in vb6 i do this

Hi Majoka!
I am confused that wat u wanna do! in one line you are aiming to compare two images but in second line u r thinking to make these Equal! if u make these equal then wat u r going to compare??????
nd i dont think Microsoft has any image processing library!

Use Aforge library for all immage programming purposes like motion detection ,Computer vision ,Machine learning and neural networks.I have used in c#

thanx u cool mirza that is a gud site actually for a while i leave that work so dnt post furture posts
at that time i was doing a task that a picture is captured by a camera using vb then in pc compare this captured pic with a sample pic that was already exist in pc
nw if each time if a camera capture a pic that not exactly equal to a sample one
so compare two pics one is capture by camera and other is a predefine sample in pc
that was the problem

majoka, you have to do something which is called "feature extraction" comes under "image processing" so only features of a pic are compared you cannot compare binary data of a pic to say its same. sometimes pics are same but coz of surrounding effects like light etc can make pic looks different.

I cannot give you detailed information on image processing as i am not much known to it, you can however search internet. There is plenty of information available.

it is not my field i just spend time with vb when get free

i always refer to u in these days i am getting a problem in vb6 that i want to convert string into int let say on txt1.text=12345 now text consider it ascii i want to convert into int or in numeric form i think val(text1.text) should use then send it to serial port now serial port send data in 8 bit so i have to break 12345 in two chars how can i do it in vb6 in fact i just do it to get chill i not know its proper syntax to write so often get problem
