hi DaveChika
one thing left
let say u attach gsm with controller and send the same commands as u send by hyper terminal or any other program using uart
now let suppose gsm response to controller and when msg read command is sent it response with message that is stored in msg1 array
now let say u successfully separate all parameters
now tell me how u will see that what is in array
i think u again need to connect controler to pc to see the response in array

i have two virtual terminals interconnected so that i see what the microcontroller sends out and what my protues sends to compim which is athached to my physical serialport using usb to serial converter.

with this connection i see what the microcontroller in protues sends out (first virsual terminal)and the reply from my modem in the second virtual terminal, how can i upload the screenshot in word document here.

@majoka,
yes you can use Protues compim to interact with your physical serialport of your pc,your COMPIM (COM port Physical Interface Model) can be used to bring real world data into a VSM simulation.
To experiment with this, you will need to connect an RS232 terminal, or a PC acting as one (e.g. running Hyperterm) a modem, to a free COM port on your PC. If you are connecting a second PC, you will need a 'Null Modem Cable', (e.g. a blue laplink cable) to make the cross connections.
Then, edit the COMPIM model (point at it and press CTRL-E), and set the COM port and physical baud-rate to match the device attached to your PC. The default settings are for COM1 at 2400 baud.
Now you can press the play button. Characters typed into the virtual terminal on Protues will be sent to the serial device on your COM port, and characters received from it will appear back inside the virtual terminal. Just connect RxD to RxD,TxD to TxD,CtS to Cts,Rts to Rts of virtual terminal to the compim and you can access your physical world via the serialport.(Thanks to Protues COMPIM).

In real applications, you would normally replace the virtual terminal with a CPU,modem or UART device, such that your simulated system will then interact with real world hardware.
 majoka like this.

@majoka
you can also Debug/simulate your keil codes simultaneously with Protues VD51 simulator,on the debug toolbar just select Protues VSM as your simulator and off you go,Your keil,Protues and your physical serial port all will be seeing each other.
