C based keypad program required

could anyone plz give me a sample program in C language for interfacing
readymade 4x3 telephone keypad with AVR

The sample code in C is there on the tutorial page...
its for 4x4... that means there is an extra COL4...
remove the COL4 and it will become 4x3.
