monitor problem

Hello world...
I am using a hp lcd monitor.Recently it had a problem that during the start up of system..the dispaly appears blur with colors and continue to be with vertical coloful lines throughout the screen......only after few mins it would be appearing normal.
I use windows 7 and i think there is no problem with the software.What's the solution for this?Can anyone suggest me what to do....is it requires a repair....and will it be rectified by myself?

first connect tat monitor to some other cpu and check....

connect that with pc having window xp
then it will clear is it software problem or hardware

hi harry, they are ryt. I also encouter problems like that and it was windows 7 driver issues. Check also your vcard after u proven something that ur os and monitor is okay.
