AT commands for GSM modem

hi i've tried AT commands for sending SMS using hyperterminal..
and i got
my doubt is while sending the AT commands using a 8051 microcontroller;how to send "CTRL+Z" using "C"
AT+CMGF=1 press enter
AT+CMGS=â€mobile number"
>my message
ctrl+z(for sending message)
and i got
AT+CMGF=1
OK
AT+CMGS="123456789"
>Test Messsage
+CMGS :1
