how to keep RTC data update

You have enabled the interrupt thats fine.. but what kind of RTC interrupt is enabled that is unclear. you should select when you want RTC interrupt. there must be some condition when RTC interrupt is happening.

and are you getting "counter incrementing" continuously on terminal??

yes i am getting "counter incrementing" continuously on terminal.

yes i've activated 1 second interrupt and for every interrupt i am getting "counter incrementing"

what RTC chip ur using
is it DS1307 ?

i am using LPC2368 having built in RTC.
If i activate my RTC it runs properly.same time other program stops

yes i solved the problem. in the initialization i only had to clear ILR.
