I have subject now entitled DSP... lol I dont know this subject! haha

and we have a project about voice recognition ... .i dont like this subject...

ya i too dont like it..MATLAB tough to understand.

if you people dont like DSP then both of you should not have to discuss this kind of latest techs likes image processing and voice recognition.... all this is digital processing

@romel you can use HM2007 chip for voice recognition..... its easy to use

yes many peoples not like it including me
but it is most important subject in our daily life
it looks like rough because we implement it only in theory
if we use it in real then u will enjoy alot
dspic30 and 33f series can done dsp operations like doing FFT , IIR ,FIR filters
sample codes on microchip site are variables
