Door access control system

hi guyz...
I ahve completed the designing and hardware specs of the project door access control system... I used proteus simulation software...
It has following features: (FILE ATTACHED)

1. First ask for the default password (which in this case has been set to 1234)
2. If password matches then it asks for changing the password (y/n)
3. After changing/not changing the password it asks if u want to open the door(y/n)
4. If yes then door opens by means of some mechanical assembly which i had shown to be just a simple DC motor..
5. Door opens for nearly 5sec.. and closes automatically in 10 sec(all adjustable)
6. If password entered is wrong then it asks again for password and starts a counter..
7. Each time the password is entered as wrong a code is sent to the parallel port of the computer. This may be add some another functionality from computer just like activating a camera module etc..
8. If the password is entered worng for 3 times then alarm is raised and a different code is sent to parallel port ...

Now the doubt are:
I wnt to add virtual terminal to indicate the message being obtained at the LPT port..How to do this in Proteus ??

why Parallel Port??? you should have to use Serial Port for this......

Parallel port? Now a days no one are using parallel boards,Even serial ports have been disappearing from latest motherboards.
For simplicity now use serial port, when u r confident it with then u can switch to USB.

Now the doubt are:
I wnt to add virtual terminal to indicate the message being obtained at the LPT port..How to do this in Proteus ??

In proteus virtual terminal is there u can use it thru serial communication.

Guyz it is just a SIMULATION BASED PROJECT...
I don't want to use serial port because parallel port has much more advantages as distance between system and hardware would be less and also 8 bits working directly is far more better ..
USB is a good option but its model not available in proteus and also deadlines have reached that i can't make much changes...
My doubts are cleared... Serial port can only be used for Virtual Terminal in ProteusISIS. Thanx a lot!
