Hello ajay,shyam,junaid i'm doing a project where data is acquired from the sensors and fed to the at89c2051 microcontroller and is displayed and i've code also,now i want to extend this project to send the datas acquired from the sensors through sms a particular. i've being following the site ever since you been so help full,i'd also think i'd get help from you guys.please help me out

sure we are all here to help. So starting with your project extension.. which phone you are thinking to connect?
A suggestion.. use phone which support AT commands as they are very easy to use..

hello ajay i've nokia 3310 mobile phone,from researches i've made fron the froum i found that it has a modem which supports at commands. as i'm a beginner i need ur complete support. in my project i've to send the datas in real time. and i also wanna know about the cables used to connection to pc. :blush

3310 supports AT commands....is dat true i dont think so

nokia 3310 does not have modem and it does not even support AT commands. try a phone with GPRS or wap facility and which has a serial interface.

hi abbas as you said that nokia 3310 doesnot support at commands, i found it in gnokii.org that it supports some of the at commands

i have nokia 5610 which has gprs modem and usb could you please me on that

Gnokii has explanation for protocols supported by Nokia mobiles. Nokia 3310 supports FBUS protocol and Gnokii explains the same in their documentation. There is no place where they have said Nokia3310 supports AT commands

And as i said.. you need to have a mobile which whos data cable has serial interface.. so that you can easily interface mobile phone..

check www.pinouts.ru and look for tx and rx pins if you can find.. then we can try to look for some alternative.. or check if there is serial interface data cable available for that phone...
