I need to interface Touch pads with microcontroller in electronic voting machine projec...Plz can anybody help????

normal touch pad are same as keypad
but touch screen are different thing

thnx for the reply....is interfacing normal touch pad same as interfacing a keypad...i mean the pin and programming logic

yes coding is same just see with multimeter that which is column and which is row
nothing else needed

if your microcontroller doesn't have specialized hardware for capacitive touch sensing you have ways to do this

but i would recommend you to use dedicated hardware such as Microchip microcontrollers with mTouch CSM module inside
I wrote about this module in this topic:

and at the bottom of topic you have link to Complete project C code that is explained in details. I think this would help you to easily make your project
