voltage amplifier

hi. sorry for creating a new thread.
i am suppose to design a voltage amplifier circuit which will basically have a input voltage of 9v DC and i need to amplify this 9V to an approx value of 100v without using step up transformer. i m totally confused since analog electronics has not been my primary field. so plz can any1 guide me to design example or a tutorial for getting started i wud really appreciate it.
PS. 9v is max i can have even to power the transistors
