@Ajay i will work on ""robot controlled by PC"" later, for that i should have some knowledge of VB.

@ajay : ya its a good beginning for a starter (i too did the same & have a thread in this forum too )... but what is his goal : ROBO race competition(that too wired one) From competition point of view its better to stay focussed on speed & motors(i had bad experience with motors as i was just about to win a compeptition with last hurdle to go which was a slant but my motor was plastic gear type and the motor just broke ... it was a shocker... ) So do concentrate on motor parts too.. get a metal gear type motor ... not a plastic gear one..
@yoooo1089 : Read the above one too and referring to ur last post "I shud have some knowldge of VB" : u don't need to have a knowledge of VB... U can do the same by just ur computer's hyperterminal.. it's very easy.. All the best fr ur competition

8051 wired robot is basically good concept but will want to controller. thanks for sharing the information.
